“The Lord looks down from heaven; he observes everyone.” – Psalm 33:13
How much do you pray? If the answer is not, “every moment!,” then you do not pray enough. Some of you reading this today may pray only in the direst circumstances. Some of you may set aside times of scheduled, intentional prayer. But all of us could pray more. What keeps you from talking with God more often than you are now? Why are you not driven to seek out conversation with him at every moment? One of the major reasons we do not talk to God as often as we should is we do not realize the incredible privilege it is. We do not meditate on the unimaginable truth that God…the Alpha and Omega…the One who was, and is, and is to come…The Lord over all creation…has given us unlimited access into his throne room.
God not only hears you and sees you, but he also is touched by your words. So talk to him today, right now, in this moment! Because, as Charles Spurgeon says, “Thy sigh is able to move the heart of Jehovah; thy whisper can incline his ear unto thee; thy prayer can stay his hand; thy faith can move his arm. Think not that God sits on high taking no account of thee. Remember that however poor and needy thou art, yet the Lord thinketh upon thee.”
