People are often hesitant about giving their life to Christ because they worry that He will take away so much of what they want to hold on to. However, the opposite is true; as long as you are outside of Christ, the Enemy will rob you of everything that brings peace and joy. A thief is able to accomplish his theft by either making you believe he is not there (like a burglar), or making you believe he is actually doing something good for you (like a scam artist). Satan has fooled many people into believing they have everything they want while he is actually robbing them blind. Jesus, in quite the opposite fashion, gave up everything so that you could gain everything. So open your eyes today, see the thief for what he is, and start living abundant life in Christ! Father, thank you for showing us true, sacrificial love through Jesus Christ.
