Official Statement Regarding COVID-19
Due for immediate release: March 19, 2020
Yesterday, in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the governor of Colorado issued a mandate forbidding any gathering of more than 10 people. In light of this, we are forced to postpone all of our Sunday morning services as well as our weekly Bible studies, youth group, and any other ministries or events we had planned.
However, we will continue to meet online every Sunday morning. Right now, we are working on creating a YouTube channel so that I can stream my sermon on Sundays. That way we can all be worshiping together in our homes. At some point before this Sunday I will send out an email with a link so everyone can simply click on it and join us for service.
However, I want to emphasize that the church will not be closed. We will still be open for office hours and we will still be returning phone calls and emails. In addition to this, I am going to open the church every weekday evening to meet with individuals or very small groups. There is a blessing that takes place when we are face-to-face that cannot happen over a computer screen. And there are those among us who truly need this encouragement and support during a difficult time. So, if you would like to come by one evening, simply contact me and let me know.
I believe in the midst of a health crisis there are two places that should always keep their doors open; the hospital and the church. So we’ll be here if you need us.
I love you, but more importantly God loves you – so much that He gave His One and Only Son to cure your spiritual sickness and keep you from being isolated from Him for all eternity.
Our God is sovereign, and this is temporary. If we stay close to Him, we’ll be okay.
